MVC

June 1, 2007
State Route 51 at Interstate 70
RWNES responded to a MVC involving two vehicles on State Route 51 at Interstate 70.  Two patients were transported by ground to local hospitals and one patient by STAT 5 to AGH for trauma services.
Rescue 105 responded and assisted with extrication of the patient who was entrapped.  After popping the door they set up and managed the LZ in a nearby field.
  Responding units included Medics 501, 503, 504, 506, and 508, Rescue 105, Station 31, Rostraver PD, and STAT 5.
 
 




Public Service

 
Bee’s invade Smithton Borough. The bees were discovered by EMS, and to prevent injury to the citizens the area was blocked off. A local bee handler was called in to remove the bees and transport them to a safe location.

May 29, 2007
A mid morning accident on Fellsburg Road at Webster Hollow Road injured two patients.  One patient was transported by ground to a local hospital and one by Life Flight 6 to Allegheny General Hospital.  Pictured is LifeFlight 6  
Responding Units: RWNES Medics 501, 504, 506, and 507, Rostraver Central VFD at the accident scene and Webster VFD for LZ Support, as well as 2 units from Rostraver Police Department

May 22, 2007
A late afternoon rollover near Sheetz on Route 51 South sent two patients to Pittsburgh Hospitals and a third patient to a local hospital. 
Responding Units: Medics 501, 503, 504, and 508, Rostraver Central VFD and multiple Rostraver Township Police Department Officers.

May 5, 2007
On Saturday May 5, 2007 the Mon Valley Divers assisted The Pennsylvania State Police – Belle Vernon in the recovery of stolen weapons from the Monongahela River.
